Helt Tæt På is a rare opportunity to experience Mazen Ismail in truly intimate surroundings. Closer to the words. Closer to the stories. And closer to the feelings we do not always have words for ourselves.

In January 2026, Mazen took to the stage at the Copenhagen Opera House, where more than 3,400 people experienced two sold-out performances in historic surroundings. Here, he showed how poetry can be reimagined as a modern live experience and bring together a large and diverse audience.

With Helt Tæt På, he goes the other way. From the big stage to the intimate room. Over dinner, Mazen invites guests fully into his universe. Here, poetry is not just something you listen to. It becomes part of the meeting between people.

Through the show, he shares some of his strongest and most beloved poems and stories from his live performances. With warmth, humour and honesty, he puts words to love, relationships, life and everything we carry inside. An evening where the distance between artist and audience almost disappears.
